We bring back the good in food by working with farmers and their soil. We want to change the way organic is perceived – by letting people know we are one with nature, and thus products they get at their doorstep are truly nutritious by nature. No nasties make room for themselves in any of our products. Hence, we are trusted by young parents who want the best for their children. As for the naysayers we have our farm for them to not just unwind but for them see it to believe it.
We work with farmer families, ensure they care for our cows and give her the environment and food to ensure that nutrition isn’t compromised with. Organic milk that is truly nutritious by nature is a resultant of how we care for the cow? what we feed the cow? and how we protect the milk she gives?
Our cows live in clean paddocks, without being tethered, they have access to green pastures at vast, clean water and the freedom to be as they were intended to be. Because she is healthy and happy, her body is from antibiotics, and stress-hormones, and induced growth hormones.
We ensure the food she eats is from soil that is free from synthetic fertilizers, chemicals and pesticides, her fodder is fresh and free from aflatoxins (toxins that are released by fungus on crops). When she is healthy and eats healthy, the milk our cows give is truly nutritious.
We protect this nutrition by using clusters for the milking process, these machines are safe and mimic the suckling by a calf. This ensures that milk is untouched by human hands and thus free from contamination. Milk is tested for adulterants at the farm level. Upon passing all tests, for maximum nutrient retention, it is immediately chilled at 4 degrees Celsius and maintained in continuous cold chain till it’s delivered to your doorstep, in 24 h fresh from our farms with zero-preservatives.
We are not limiting our role with delivering 100% organic nutritious milk, and milk products. We go beyond and take accountability of plastic waste generated by collecting back these used packs and recycle them…7000 Kg of used packs (and counting) have been recycled.
Akshayakalpa is the first organic dairy entity in India with a vision to transform livelihood-based agriculture into wealth creation opportunities for small and marginal farmers and make farming an aspirational vocation for future generations.
Currently Akshayakalpa is working with 850 farmers in Karnataka who earn an average of Rs 1 Lakh a month, supplying 75,000 litres of milk daily. In Tamil Nadu, Akshayakalpa is working with 300 farmers around Pooriyambakkam village of Chengalpattu district extending its training and technical services. By following the Akshayakalpa model the farmers are witnessing an increase in the milk production and overall, we have also witnessed 10% increase in milk production as compared to 2021.
