Hyderabad, April 20th, 2024: Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, the BJP candidate for the Chevella Parliamentary constituency; said, the response to my recent Praja Ashirwad Yatra was stupendous, exceeded well beyond everyone’s expectations. The rousing reception I received village after village was heartening. The most reassuring aspect was the overwhelming support for me in places where the BJP vote share was low in the recent Assembly elections. In fact the response seemed one way in my favour and to my astonishment leaders and cadre of Congress and TRS parties are coming forward proactively and extending their wholehearted support to me.
My opponents, perturbed with the immense response to my yatra, are trying to replicate it. However, they are facing internal dissent as their own cadre is revolting against them. Congress candidate is facing utmost opposition with the cadre accusing Ranjit Reddy of never visiting the constituency in the last five years. In fact one stark latest instance was the Congress cadre in Basheerabad mandal openly opposing his visit and engaging in mass sloganeering demanding him to get out from their mandal. There is palpable discontent and anger among Congress cadre at his nomination, because till the other day he was their adversary as a member of the BRS party. As part of BRS he campaigned bitterly against them as recently as the Assembly elections. They haven’t forgotten Ranjit Reddy’s role during the Assembly elections, nor are they willing to forgive him for all the harassment the Congress cadre endured in the past five year, during his tenure as MP. The Congress cadre views him as an opportunist, a turncoatto the core and holds enormous distrust towards him. To overcome this animosity he is attempting to reach out to the BRS cadre who helped him in the past, but they are equally upset at him betraying them in this hour. The position of Ranjit Reddy is literally like falling between the two stools and he is utterlyconfused. The sole objective of both the Congress and BRS cadre in this election seems to be to defeat Ranjit Reddy. Since they are confident of me trouncing him, they feel the best way to teach a lesson to him is by voting for me and ensuring unprecedented victory margin for me.
