Hyderabad, May 1st, 2024: In a significant development favouring the BJP candidate, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections for the Chevella Parliamentary constituency, eight corporators, four each from Congress and BRS from Meerpet municipality in Maheshwaram Constituency, threw their weight behind Vishweswar Reddy, by joining BJP today at his residence at Banjara Hills.
The leaders who joined were Congress Corporators Vemula Narasimha of 32nd ward; Edla Mallesh Mudhiraj of 36th ward; Jillela Aruna Prabhakar Reddy of 28th ward; V. Ellamma Co-optionmember and BRS Corporators Indravath Ravi Nayak of 12th ward;Vijaya Laxmi Raju of 31st ward; Dharamgarh Jyothi Kishore, 44thward and Gowri Sankar, 2nd Division. These Corporators joined in the presence of Vishweshwar Reddy, Boka Narsimha Reddy, Ranga Reddy District President; Sri Ramulu Yadav, MLA contestant from Maheshwaram; Kolem Shanker Reddy, Assembly Convener; Devender; Narsima, Meerpet Municipal Floor Leader and several leaders and cadres joined.
Speaking on the occasion Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, the BJP candidate for the Chevella Parliamentary constituency, said, the likelihood of Modi becoming the next Prime Minister is bolstered by several factors, with one prominent reason being the unequivocal clarity surrounding the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate. This stands in stark contrast to the prevailing confusion within the opposition ranks. The lack of a clear contender on the opposition side has resulted in a significant number of leaders and supporters from opposition parties gravitating towards the BJP in the entire country and Telangana. Similarly eight corporators, four each from Congress and BRS, from Meerpet Municipality, joined BJP. These joining make BJP the largest party in Meerpet Municipality, this is the largest Municipality in Chevella constituency with approximately 1 lakh votes. As the election date draws nearer, a notable trend is emerging: leaders from Congress and BRS are increasingly aligning themselves with the BJP. This shift can be attributed to two main factors: firstly, the impressive track record of Modi’s governance, which has garnered widespread recognition for its efficacy. Secondly, the influential sway of voters within their respective segments, who are strongly advocating for their leaders to join the BJP fold.
He added, despite the change in state government, the residents of Meerpet still grapple with persistent issues, including overflowing drainages, mosquito infestations, a severe shortage of potable water, and poorly maintained roads. People have come to the realization that the current government lacks both the will and the necessary funds to address their plight effectively. Consequently, they find themselves in a situation where they must turn to the BJP for assistance. The BJP will exert pressure on the state government to deliver on its promises and enact positive change in their communities.
