Hyderabad, May 2nd, 2024: Manda Krishna Madiga, the Founder President of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS); addressing a rally in support of Konda Vishweshwar Reddy’s candidature for the Chevella Parliamentary seat; said, history bears witness to instances where both the Congress party and the BRS party have deceived the Madiga community. But it was the BJP that embraced us and brought us into its fold, recognizing our concerns and advocating for our rights. Regardless of your allegiance to any party, whether it be Congress or the BRS, the Madiga community should unite and cast their collective vote for the BJP and Konda Vishweshwar Reddy. Modi’s return as Prime Minister for a third term is imperative, given the BJP government’s favourable stance on the sub-categorization of SCs. Therefore, sub-categorization can only be realized with the formation of the Modi government at the Centre. Secure Konda Vishweshwar Reddy’s victory in the Chevella constituency by casting your votes for him in significant numbers, he appealed.
Konda Vishweshwar Reddy speaking on the occasion said, Manda Krishna and MRPS has been agitating for SC sub-categorisation for probably the longest period by any movement. They represented their concerns to chief ministers of 29 states andmultiple prime ministers over the years, yet none could offer solace by adequately addressing the grievances of the Madiga community. Ambedkar and Babu Jagjivan Ram championed the cause of social justice, yet it remained an unfulfilled dream awaiting realization. For India to progress, it’s imperative that everyone, regardless of caste, is afforded ample opportunities for growth. However, the SC community has been grappling with injustice, and the absence of sub-categorization among the SCs is exacerbating the injustice faced by the Madigas. Manda Krishna Madiga’s agitation is not directed against any specific section of people; rather, it aims to seek justice for the Madigas. While Modi garners praise from both within the country and global leaders, hehimself came here to appreciate Manda Krishna Madiga’s unwavering 30-year-long agitation on this issue whichdemonstrates his commitment beyond political gain.
The BJP’s policy is rooted in providing equal opportunities and fair treatment to all, recognizing this as crucial for the nation’s growth. It aims to achieve this through Antyodaya, by uplifting the most marginalized members of society. We had to overturn the policies of the Congress party implemented during its tenure andfocussed on the rich. It implemented schemes that primarily benefited the affluent and disbursed loans to major industrialists. However, the wealthy merely accumulated wealth without any trickle-down benefit reaching the impoverished. On the other handthe poor spend their earnings on basic necessities for themselves and their family, this expenditure benefits multiple people in the chain, from the shopkeeper to the farmer, manufacturer, their employees, thus creating a ripple effect that benefits the entire community. Today, eminent global economists are recognizing the significance of empowering the poor and attributing India’s growth story to this policy envisioned by Modi. The last decade has witnessed a significant shift in the landscape, marked by the widespread opening of bank accounts in the name of the poor and empowering them through direct benefit schemes. Coming from a humble background and BC community, Modi understands the plight of poverty stricken first hand and is on a mission to uplift the downtrodden. He ensured election of Shri Ram Nath Kovind, a member of the SC community, as the President of India, and nowhe got Smt. Droupadi Murmu, a tribal woman from a remote area, to occupy this esteemed position.
While Congress may accuse BJP of being a forward caste party, the reality is that BJP is a party of all Bharatiyas, striving to ensure equal opportunities for every Indian. Unable to claim credit for any significant accomplishments over the past 60 years, Congress has resorted to mudslinging against Prime Minister Modi and the BJP. They are creating fake videos to spread false propaganda that Modi and Amit Shah are working towards removing reservation. The Congress is extending 4% communal based Muslim reservations unconstitutionally and against Ambedkar’s principles and court rulings, thereby depriving BCs of their rightful share. The only party today that upholds the constitution and the ideals of Ambedkar and Jagjivan Ram is the BJP. In the upcoming elections, I request you all to vote for the lotus symbol and support Modi, to empower the deprived sections of society.
