Achievements of Rakesh Sharma in NBE as OSD to President NBE

  1. As the co-chairman of the convocation committee, his meticulous planning, tactful guidance and overall hands-on supervision proved to be a game-changer, resulting in the successful conduct of the 19th and 20th convocation of NBE. The convocation was in fact pending for 5 years. At the said occasion, more than 19000 candidates were conferred degrees giving them a sense of pride and achievement.
  2. On taking charge, he tackled backlogs in accelerated manner, getting the CAG audit done, which was pending for the last 5 years till then.
  3. Quick to make connections, Mr Sharma coordinated with various designated agencies and authorities to deal with long-pending court cases and enquiries.
  4. As the convenor, he further ensured that enquiry matters pertaining to senior officers of the NBE were come to their logical ends within taut timelines and also in accordance with the criteria framed by GOI.
  5. He broke new grounds and introduced procurement through GeM in NBE.
  6. As a torchbearer of change, he streamlined the accreditation processes and made the methods coherent and simpler without impacting the quality. This phenomenally resulted in the increase in the number of PG seats, further broadening the horizon of the organisation.
  7. He is recognised for having introduced several staff welfare measures in NBE giving the organization a total facelift. Setting up of gym, yoga centre, medical room, introduction of CCL and housing scheme, etc has truly made him a people’s person.
  8. As OSD to the President NBE, he single-handedly ensured timely completion of various activities pertaining to the office of the President NBE. In his role so far, he has also accompanied the President of NBE to various states to spread awareness on the diverse activities of NBE.
  9. He has been a driving force in organising and conducting the meetings of Governing Body of NBE and various other committees of NBE. This ensured that the work flow in NBE is not affected and is in fact raised to the next level of efficiency with zero tolerance to corruption.
  10. As a member of the core team for NBE diploma courses, he has been instrumental in envisioning and introducing several Diploma courses.
  11. He is the brain behind the launch of the fellowship programme for international students and has also published the booklet on Good Health Practice launch by the Hon’ble Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan and Hon’ble Health Minister of State Shri Ashwini Kumar Choubey.
  12. He has created roadmaps for various departments including The NBE administration to simplify lengthy and cumbersome administrative procedures.
  13. His role in the successful conduct of NBE exams is praiseworthy. He played a crucial role in getting NEET PG done in a single day and single session with exam centres in all the states.
  14. He has been instrumental in reorganizing the examination department with focus on timely deliveries.
  15. As a core member of the recruitment committee, he has ensured transparency in the selection of genuine and deserving personnel, both on contractual and outsourced basis.
  16. Mr Sharma has augmented the completion of the process for selection of ED NBE/ GB members with his able leadership.
