The restaurant offers a comprehensive platter of unique tastes of Awadh including biryanis, dry items, curries, gravy items and wide varieties of rolls.
Our first Awadhi restaurant at Gachibowli, Tundey Kebabi, has been a roaring success with patrons relishing our offerings and wanting more, be it walk in customers or orders through food aggregators. During last Ramzan, our food counter in Tolichowki had a footfall well beyond our expectations, these gourmets followed us to our Gachibowli restaurant and kept urging to have one in their neighborhood. To fulfill this popular demand, we started Awadhi Dastarkhaan at Tolichowki, says Vijay Kumar Reddy, Managing Partner, Awadi Dastarkhaan.
The delicious Ulta Tavva Paratha, the famous Lucknow sweet Phirni are among the not to miss exclusive items at the restaurant. Some of the mouthwatering Awadhi delights being made available exclusively in Hyderabad at Awadhi Dastarkhaan for gastronomes are Mutton Gelouti Kebab, Mutton Nihari, Chicken Afghani, Chicken Katti Kebab etc. These specialty dishes will capture the hearts of connoisseurs through their stomachs with every flavorful bite.
I initially did research to find out which type of restaurant people wantand decided to set up a restaurant which serves food not available here.In the process went to Lucknow, there I met people behind fifty-year-oldbrand, Tundey Kababi. Started a franchise of Tundey Kababi in Gachibowli in September 2020 and it was a huge success. Tundey Kababi was not keen to give further franchisees, therefore we are opening our second restaurant in the name of Awadhi Dastarkhaan. The Lucknow, Kanpur belt is known as Awadh, which is famous for itstraditional food, that was also a princely state with Nawab of Awadh, ruling it and patronizing this food. Awadhi food is non-spicy and delicious. The reason for setting up this restaurant is the demand for such food from IT professionals migrating from different parts of the country. Several Hyderabadi Muslims to cherish Awadhi recipe and they didn’t have access to authentic Awadhi food. I am planning to have my next restaurant at Nalagandla. Our signature item is Gelouti Kebabmade of mutton kheema with different spices, mutton nihari and multiple kebabs, we serve complete range of Awadhi cuisine. AwadhiDastarkhaan provides variety of food which is not available locally and therefore relished by the foodies, those looking for choice and non-spice food, Vijay Kumar Reddy added.
