National Institute of Tourism & Hospitality Management, Gachibowli, Hyderabad, conducted a two day fest on 20th and 21st Mar ’25*NITHMATHIDYAM, where Athidyam is hospitality this was an Intercollegiate Cultural and Sports Fest that was open to all colleges students giving them an opportunity to showcase their Talent, Sports or Intellect. Totally 160 students participated in various competitions such as Culinary Academy of India (CAI); Chennai’s Amrita; Indian Institute of Hotel Management (IHM); EThames Business School; Telangana Overseas Manpower Company (TOMCOM) and National Institute of Tourism & Hospitality Management (NITHM).
The Inauguration was conducted on 20thMar, 10am by Dr.MK Ganesh, Principal of NITHM. In his message he welcomed all the participants and said that every student should participate actively with a comparable nature and the true spirit of sportsmanship. He opened the Fest and wished them all the best. Mrs. R Vijayalakshmi, Asst.Professor of NITHM coordinated the event along with the faculty team and students. In her address she thanked the sponsors for their contributions and Travel Maniac- Mrs Anjum, operations manager along with American Skill Personality Development ASPD, Mrs. Kavita and Varal Kumar were present at the inauguration along with faculty, staff and students of NITHM.
The Validatory was conducted by the Director of NITHM Mr. Zendage Hanumant Kondiba,IAS along with the Principal Dr.MK Ganesh, the prize were announced to the winners and runners of both days. The 1st day’s competitions were 1) Millet Based Cookingconducted by NITHM Chef A Mahesh and Chef Tulja Ram and the judged was Head Chef. Vivek Thakur of Lake District bar & kitchen. 1st prize winners were Mr. U. Ravi and Mr. Sanjiv Karthik from Culinary Academy of India and 2nd prize winners were Mr. Ganuganti Shreya and Mr G. Kamala Charana from Chennai’s Amrita Hotel Management. 2) Quiz – Tourism/Hospitality/Current Affairs by Dr. A Kiranmayi, Asst Professor of NITHM, who was the quiz master. 1stprize winners were Mr. K.Shlok and Mr.N.Jignesh of IHM and 2nd prize winners were Mr. T Harshitha Reddy and Mr.SVVS Saketh. 3) Photography & Reel making Competitions, conducted by Dr. N Yadagiri Asst Librarian Reels Category (NITHM) won 1st Prize Ms. G. Sai Amrutha and 2ndPrize Mr. B.Shivamani & Mr. Vinod Kumar from IAH, Hyderabad and next runner up Mr.Yodha Akashay of NITHM * Photography (Chennai Amirta Karithabad) won 1st Prize Mr. P. Sujendra Karthik and 2nd Mr.T. Harshitha Reddy and the next runner up prize to Mr. Yodha Akshay of NITHM.
The 2nd day’s Sports Competitionswere conducted in the NITHM Ground, and the empire of the day was Mr Sandeep Jittuka (PET) from Chirec public school. 1) Volleyball and the winners were Chennai’s Amrita Hotel Management College Khairatabad and runners also Chennai’s Amrita Hotel Management College Bulkampet. 2) Kabaddi – girls and the winners were from Telangana Overseas Manpower Company(TOMCOM) and runners were from National Institute of Tourism & Hospitality Management (NITHM). 3) Kabaddi – boysand the winners were Chennai’s Amrita Hotel Management College and runners were from EThames Business School. 4) Chess – Winner is Ms. Nithya and runner Mr. Vanama Hemachand both from NITHM. 5) Dance – 1st prize Ms.Aahna S & Ms. Srujana Baithi from National Institute of Tourism & Hospitality Management (NITHM). 2nd prize Mr. Shreyash Shrijan Banerjee From IHM Shrishakti Hyderabad.
After the prize distribution the Director congratulated the winners and wished success to the gathering, congratulated the faculty for putting the event together successfully. The success of the event was the hard work of the students who joined hands together in organizing and they were mentored by faculty members.
