ISDE India Edition 2026

First time in India, Bsavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute is hosting International Society for Diseases of the Esophagus (ISDE) India Edition 2026 from 10 to 11 April 2026 at The Westin, Hitech City, Hyderabad

Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute (BIACH&RI), Hyderabad, is proud to host the International Society for Diseases of the Esophagus (ISDE) India Edition 2026 on 10–11 April 2026 at The Westin, Hitech City. This marks the first time ISDE is being held in India, a milestone moment for the country’s oncology community and for BIACH&RI as a trusted institution of cancer care.

The two day scientific program will feature international faculty from seven countries, alongside leading Indian experts, presenting cutting edge advances in esophageal cancer treatment and research. Eminent names include Prof. Lorenzo Ferri(Canada), Dr. Ken Kato (Japan), Dr. Hiroyuki Daiko (Japan), Dr. Edward Cheong (Singapore), Dr. Cuong Duong (Australia), and Dr. Steven Lin (USA), joining Indian leadership such as Dr. T. Subramanyeswara Rao, Medical Director of BIACH&RI; President of the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology (IASO); and President Elect of the Global Forum of Cancer Surgeons, and Dr. C.S. Pramesh, Director of Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.

This edition also coincides with BIACH&RI’s Silver Jubilee — 25 years of excellence in cancer care and academics — underscoring the institution’s role as a trusted center of compassion and innovation.

Shri Nandamuri Balakrishna, Chairman & Managing Trustee, NBTRMCF has said on the occasion that “Medicine is not just a science — it is a commitment. ISDE India Edition 2026 reflects our commitment to bring the world’s finest knowledge to our people.” 

Later speaking on the occasion, Dr. T. Subramanyeswara Rao, Medical Director, BIACH&RI; President, IASO; President Elect, Global Forum of Cancer Surgeons has explained that  “Hosting ISDE in India is more than an honor — it is a declaration that India is ready to lead the global fight against cancer.” 

Further adding to it Dr. C.S. Pramesh, Director, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai said that “This conference demonstrates how India’s oncology leadership is connecting globally, ensuring our patients benefit from the best science and care.” 

As part of the Conference, on 10 April at 2:30 PM, the international faculty and organizing leadership will interact with the media in a dedicated press meet. Later that evening, the conference will be formally inaugurated at 6:30 PM, in the presence of ISDE leadership, distinguished faculty, and the trustees of BIACH&RI led by Chairman Shri NandamuriBalakrishna.

ISDE India Edition 2026 is a defining moment, strengthening India’s position in the global fight against esophageal cancer. By bringing world class expertise to Hyderabad, the conference ensures that Indian patients and practitioners benefit directly from the latest scientific advances and multidisciplinary approaches.
